Incredibly Awesome Street Art

Street art is now recognized by the most exclusive art institutions in the world. This art form is unique because its canvas can be any place or thing in a city, making it free for anyone to enjoy.

This is what makes street artist OakOak’s work so cool. He doesn’t just do murals on empty walls. He uses things that already exist in urban areas — like cracks in a wall or objects on the street — to make beautiful, hilarious and creative works of art.

OakOak documents this work, called street art interventions, on his Instagram page. These are his best pieces of street art. We promise they’ll leave a smile on your face.

Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?

This Instagram post perfectly captures OakOak's creativity by bringing to life the huffing and puffing Big Bad Wolf.

We hope the three little pigs are OK.

Our (Street Art) Spider Sense Is Tingling

Fools see a crack. Artists see Spiderman's web as he cruises through the city looking for crime.

Sometimes, all you need is a couple of paper faces and a lot of creativity.

Bovine Abduction

Alien street art in Belgium

The aliens are here, and they're taking our cows.

Nighty Night

Sleeping street art intervention in Europe

oakoak_street_art / Instagram

We love how this decaying, abandoned building became a cozy home with a few sprays of the bottle.

Au Naturel

Woman street art in France

oakoak_street_art / Instagram

Nature is the best accessory.

Jaws

Jaws street art in Paris

oakoak_street_art / Instagram

We dare you to use this Parisian urinal without feeling a little uneasy.

Classic Bart Simpson

Bart Simpson street art in France

oakoak_street_art / Instagram

OakOak utilized an abandoned building with a broken window to catch Bart Simpson in a typically mischievous act.

The Colony

Street art in France

oakoak_street_art / Instagram

A crack on the wall becomes a beehive in the middle of the street. If only real bees had it this easy.

The Race

Race street art intervention in France

oakoak_street_art / Instagram

We'll never look at a concrete block bench the same way. And neither will the kids who helped out with this piece.

Thunderstorm

X-Men street art in Europe

oakoak_street_art / Instagram

Storm conjured up all her powers for this work of street art.

Happy Feet

Street art in Brussels, Belgium

oakoak_street_art / Instagram

We hope this awesome piece has not caused accidents.

The Mind Makes It Real

The Matrix street art in Zagreb, Croatia

Neo can make bullets and pedestrians stop at will.

I Lava You

Skatepark street art in France

oakoak_street_art / Instagram

This was probably inspired by Disney's heartwarming short. We'd definitely go to this skatepark.

Street Art Gets Political

Climate change political street art

This intervention is so popular you can buy a poster of it at OakOak's shop. It's definitely a cool sign to take to your next climate change protest.

Fear the Abandoned Factory Monster

Abandoned factory street art intervention in Belgium

Two dots and two arms turn an abandoned machine in an old factory into an adorably terrifying monster.

Magritte street art in Nantes, France

oakoak_street_art / Instagram

One of Rene Magritte's most iconic painting comes to life in the shape of a bollard.

When the city gives you random urban waste, make clever art.
